Colnago CF7

The CF7 limited edition was developed on the basis of the EPS frame, which was at the time the flagship model of the C-Series. With its round tubes and carbon fibre lugs, it represented the ultimate in lightness and responsiveness.

The tubes were manufactured using Colnago's 3PRS technology, which allowed longitudinal and counter-ribs to be created directly in the mould. These ribs — invisible because they sit inside the tubes — vary in thickness and length. This process delivered a 30% increase in stiffness against the bending and torsional forces generated by pedalling.

The CF7 was equipped with the new Colnago C-HS1 headset featuring different diameters: 1" 1/8 at the top and 1" 1/4 at the bottom. The rear triangle consisted of the proven upper B-stays combined with the oval-profiled, leaf-shaped chainstays measuring 17 x 35 mm.

The paint scheme is finished in classic Ferrari red, while for the first time a Formula 1 single-seater design appears on the top tube. The red is echoed on the spokes of the Fulcrum wheels. The groupset is a complete Campagnolo Record.

To maximise the custom-fit approach, the bicycle was available in 14 traditional sizes and 8 sloping geometry sizes.
