The Ottanta5, produced in a limited edition of just 85 examples and available exclusively as such, was designed to celebrate the 85th birthday of Colnago's founder. Built on the basis of the C60 — the then-flagship of the C-Series — with carbon fibre tubes and lugs, it is 100% made in Italy and features an absolutely unique design.

The glittering silver paint covering the majority of the frame surface contrasts with black "arabesque" motifs — inspired by the handcrafted lugs of the Arabesque steel frame — found on the head tube, fork crown, rear stays, and seatpost head.

The design of the Ottanta5 is not entirely new, recalling (with a different base colour, silver rather than gold) the Ottanta, another limited edition bicycle based on the C59, created to mark the 80th birthday of Colnago's founder. A particular collector's highlight is the use of the original Colnago logo, "La Freccia di Cambiago" — depicted on the head tube and representing an eagle riding an arrow.

The bicycle is equipped with a complete Campagnolo specification: 11-speed Super Record EPS groupset and Campagnolo Bora Ultra wheels. The handlebar and stem are also custom-made.
